The Royal Academy Project envisions the introduction of a new system of education in Bhutan. Built in isolation from the rest of the public school system, they started by buying their own sawmill and installing it on-site. The construction site is located in the village of Pangbisa overlooking the Paro valley and their facilities include housing for students and faculty, athletic grounds and gymnasiums, outdoor amphitheaters, and multi-purpose halls and spaces.
